Report - Imported Super Mario 3D Land at Aussie retailers

Some lucky gamers have apparently managed to snaffle Super Mario 3D land before official release.

Kotaku has word that "some" GameTraders stores are offering imported copies of Super Mario 3D land for sale, well ahead of the platformer's November 24 street date.

Individual Gametraders stores have given differing accounts, with some saying they'll sell whatever limited stock they have and others waiting for head office authorisation.

The planned Australian release date for the anticipated 3DS title is a week behind Europe and the US.

Nintendo Australia has occasionally agreed to allow major chains to sell early stock of games when major international release date discrepancies resulted in a flood of import stock. Other recent Nintendo release dates have been much closer to international launches, as with Skyward Sword and the upcoming Mario Kart 7.
