DC Universe Online snags 1 million players

Since going free-to-play, DC Universe Online's star has only shone brighter.

"1 million new players have joined DCUO with a 50/50 split between PC and PS3," SOE Austin executive director Lorin Jameson said in a statement, as reported by Destructoid.

"DC Universe Online's transition to free-to-play has been welcomed by the community and gamers with heroic enthusiasm."

Earlier this week, Sony Online Entertainment boss John Smedley revealed concurrent players had increased by 1000%.

DC Universe Online went free-to-play on November 1, just ten days ago. It arrived on PC and PlayStation 3 in January this year.
