“Of course we’re working on GT6 already,” says Yamauchi
Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed the inevitable: Gran Turismo 6 is in development. Start warming your engines now.

Speaking in an interview with IGN, Yamauchi said “of course” the team was “working on GT6 already,” noting that the “separating factor” between GT5 and the next iteration, “is something that we can’t update through a DLC,” and will obviously have “to be saved for GT6.”
“Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that’s really the market difference,” he said.
Meanwhile, until the game is officially announced, GT5 players can expect new vehicles to be added to the game as DLC every two months, and Yamauchi wants fans to get involved in what goes into future content.
“What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one,” he said.
“Now we have the feedback from our customers and we’ll see how that will affect what we will do from here.”
Thanks, Shack.

Want. I enjoyed GT5 a lot. Even with a lot of the issues it had.

Well, I’m going to take the high road and not make a joke about how long it will take, or how it will inevitably get delayed. Is damn tempting, though…

Yeh definitely a PS4 title, And they will probably say its for launch aswell, and then be delayed.
Haven’t got any of the Dlc though, i rarely ever buy dlc though and gt5 is no exception for me though

@3, not a chance as a PS4 launch title.
GT6 will be announced for PS3.
2 GT games for each system.

@5. Absolutely. They will anounce it for the PS3, but it won’t be out until 2015.

it’ll be a waste for the PS3, they need one per console cycle.

Didn’t they say they started on GT6 the week GT5 went gold anyways? Plus it seems like they said at the time it wouldn’t hit this gen. GT5 is my favorite racing game ever so either way I’m down for more. Nobody does it like PD.

@9 +1 The issues GT5 had were a clear indication that PD’s ambitions far outstrip what the current tech can achieve.

They could redesign every aspect of the game from the ground up (excluding the actual gameplay) and call it GT6.
I’d be happy with that.
