Assassin's Creed: Revelations will have first-person missions, says Ubisoft

Some missions in Assassin's Creed: Revelations will take place in first-person, Ubisoft Montreal has said.

[Spoilers for Brotherhood's ending follows]

Inspired by Inception, the missions will help form part in helping Desmond Miles to reawaken from a coma he fell into following the end of Brotherhood. You'll play as Miles in the "strange platforming missions," according to mission design director Falco Poiker.

"It’s definitely a departure, and very cool I think. You get a lot of information about Desmond and his backstory by completing these. Where he came from, what his life is like... the artwork and surroundings are very surreal and symbolic of his life," he told SPOnG.

Poiker also hinted at the future of Subject 16, the person that Abstergo experimented on that Miles followed in the shoes of before Assassin's Creed 1.

"There’s a character you’ll meet in the Animus that you’ll be able to talk to... there’s been hints about this character before. I don’t know if you’ll be able to determine who that character might be from that..."

Assassin's Creed: Revelations launches next week on PS3 and 360.
