A list released by NPD, apparently included in Ubisoft’s earnings report today, cites Call of Duty: Black Ops as selling close to 15 million copies in the US as of September 2011.

According to the figures, the game sold over three times as much as other titles released during the period, which includes January 2010 through September 2011.

Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2 was the second best-seller for the period, moving 5.25 million units, and Madden NFL 11 the third best-seller with 5.2 million in sales.

Fun funny fun fun funest of the fun fun.

What makes CoD more fun than the next funtastic fun game. What elevates it above everything else in the eyes of the gernal public, what makes 15 million people choose one fun game over another fun game?

You can’t proclaim something to be more fun than something else, that’s entirely up to the individual, but I’d say the thing that makes CoD a lot of fun is the speed of the game, testing your reflexes, and trying to control the general mayhem that brings with it. Also the way the scoring is communicated, and the pacing of the unlocks is quite effective.

At least that’s what has traditionally set it apart to my mind.

It’s the Professor Genki to everybody elses Roman Bellic. At least until BF3 came along and let its hair down.

If you have Modern Warfare 1 on PC, than you dont need any modern warfare game after that! There is a lot of mod for it that recreates some of the Black Ops or MW 2 maps and no doubt MW 3 maps will be soon available!

Kill Confirmed mod also available to download, high res blood decals, weapon sight and particles all there!

There’s also mod to add bot for offline Multiplayer called PezBOTS, the experience I feel are exactly the same as what Graham Smith wrote for PC Gamer here :

“There’s a kind of domino effect to the game: you see someone running, you stop, aim, fire, and kill them. Almost instantly, someone behind you is shooting at you. You rarely have time to get to cover or to turn and shoot back, and so you die, too. By that point, there’s someone behind your killer, shooting at them. A few steps later, you’ve respawned, and killed someone, and are right back in the same position.”

I think the bots perfectly simulated what COD players do in real online multiplayer .
