Square Enix drops Dragon Quest X beta details

Still without a proper date as yet, Square's given details on how the beta for Dragon Quest X will work out for those applying,

Successful applicants will receive a kit that will consist of a beta disc, manuel and Wii-supportable USB memory stick, although you can also get the kit without a stick if you already have one.

Beta testers will get to create a character from one of the five tribes in the game, be able to play a tiny bit of the story prologue and face a few bosses and will get an in-game Drackey cap.

If you become a beta tester, which is only available to those in Japan with a Square Enix Members account, you won't be able to say things about it to other people, effectively signing an NDA when you become involved. Your character will also likely not be in the final game.

More details on Andriasang. Dragon Quest X releases next year for Wii, with a Wii U version also in the works.
