Neverwinter to be released as an MMO in late 2012
Cryptic’s Neverwinter will now be released as a free-to-play MMO based upon 4th Edition D&D rules, instead of a co-operative online RPG as originally planned. After the firm was acquired by Perfect World, the title was delayed into 2012, but because of the extended time needed to devote to the change in direction, Neverwinter has been delayed to the end of 2012. It is to be built using a modified version of the engine powering Star Trek Online and Champions Online, and all content releases will be free. Via: IGN, Eurogamer.

Rabbids animated series to air in 2013
Ubisoft’s announced this morning a deal with Nickelodeon to bring an animated TV series based on Rabbids. 26 half-hour long episodes will begin airing from 2013 on the channel across the world except France, with Ubisoft’s Motion Pictures studio working with the publisher’s French studios on the show. The Rabbid characters were introduced in 2006 as part of Rayman spin-off, Rayman: Raving Rabbids.

Level 5 to stream press confernece at L5 Vision
Level 5′s announced it’s to stream its press conference at Level 5 Vision in a couple of weeks time. The event is open to the public for a majority of the time, but the press conference is open only to press or by invite. The conference will be streamed on UStream on October 15. Level 5 Vision will feature the company’s new title and upcoming titles, but the main focus will be Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney and Time Travellers, both for 3DS, as well as Ni No Kuni for PS3.

Forza 4 videos go live following great scores
Following the lifting of its reviews embargo this morning, where it’s currently seeing impressive scores, GameTrailers has posted a bunch of videos from Forza Motorsport 4. The videos show off the Hockingheim and Nurburgring tracks, showing multiplayer modes Virus and Battle. Get watching below the break.

Coldplay, Stevie Wonder coming to Rock Band as DLC
Harmonix has announced that Coldplay will make its bow on Rock Band as DLC in the coming months. Stevie Wonder will also make his debut with the game as DLC, with Breaking Benjamin and Dream Theater making returns. All of the DLC for the aforementioned bands currently remain dateless, with no songs unconfirmed neither.
