Quick Quotes: Battlefield 3 multiplayer benefited from 100% in-house development
“It’s a world of difference to work together at one location. The whole game is made at DICE in Stockholm. It’s great having the guys running around, talking to each other. Co-op, for example, is actually based on a lot of the philosophy behind multiplayer. Teamwork is never forced, but we have different gadgets and mechanics that help you work together. Just the co-op and the multiplayer guys talking to each other, what you should be doing, it’s a much more coherent and better product overall.” – BF3 producer Patrick Liu on the differences between Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor multiplayer development (via MTV).

Go behind-the-scenes of Jurassic Park: The Game with Telltale
Telltale has released a behind-the-scenes look at Jurassic Park: The Game, which takes place during the events of the first movie, and follows “loose end” where Dennis ran off with a jar of dinosaur embryos. The development team thought it would be “a fantastic place” to start out for the story of the game. In the video, the team also discusses the new technology it build for the title, which it felt it needed in order to “pull it off”. Because of the new tech, the game also features new gameplay elements such as the ability to use an in-game camera to look at different parts of the scene you are currently in. Gamer’s will be able to return to Isla Nublar on November 15.

SEGA has “no plans” to bring back classic Sonic, but “never say never”
SEGA may be bringing Sonic back as his classic Sonic 1 self in unlockable form with Sonic Generations, but don’t look for it to be happening again any time soon. According to the firm’s European brand manager David Corless, “there are no plans, to be brutally honest, to bring Classic Sonic back.” Corless said the only reason he’s back for the November release, is due to it being the hedgehog’s 20th anniversary. “It was a real fitting time to do it, he’s really well loved,” he said. “Let’s see how Generations does. You can never say never in this industry, but at the moment there are no plans.”
Generations is out November 1 PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and on November 22 and 25 for 3DS in the US and Europe, respectively. Thanks, Gematsu.
