GT5 DLC hitting US on October 25
SCEA’s confirmed the first pile of DLC for Gran Turismo 5 has been re-dated in the US for October 25. The DLC, which includes new tracks, cars and other goodies was due to launch yesterday, October 18, as part of the US PS Store release. To make up for the delay, Sony is tossing in a “unique GT Academy dynamic theme,” as well the Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model for free to those who purchase the Complete Pack by November 7. The releases in Europe and Asia, however, were unaffected.

Itagaki among first confirmed D.I.C.E 2012 speakers
D.I.C.E organisers have announced the first speakers for next year’s event. Valhalla Game Studios boss Tomonobu Itagaki and EA chief creative officer Richard Hilleman. Grammy winner Glen Ballard and military contractor Isaac Gilmore will also be at the event in Las Vegas between February 8-10.

FF Type-0 ends up with 39/40 in Famitsu
So close, yet so far. Final Fantasy Type-0 missed out on Famitsu’s score of 40, gaining a 39/40 in this week’s issue ahead of the game’s release next week in Japan. It got overall three tens and a nine in the end. There’s are other scores in this week’s mag over at Andriasang, including the new Kirby for Wii, Dance Central 2 and Warhammer 40k: Space Marine.

New Shining game coming from Sega
Sega’s announced in Famitsu this week it’s bringing out a new Shining game. Not much is known on it other than its called Shining Blade, its coming to PSP next spring in Japan and that contributions will come from character designer Tony and composer Hiroki Kikuta.

Angry Birds hits 30 million DAU, 300 million minutes played every day
Rovio US GM Andrew Stalbow has said at Web 2.0 that Angry Birds has been downloaded 400 million times, with more stats also provided at his Web 2.0 talk in San Francisco. The gane, across its multiple releases over multiple platforms, sees 30 million daily active users with 300 million minutes played every day, which translates into 109.5 billion minutes per year or 1.825 billion hours.

Okabu gets launch trailer ahead of today’s EU release
Sony’s gone live with the launch trailer for PSN title Okabu. Made by Rolando developer HandCircus, the game’s a co-op adventure that follows brothers Kumulo and Nimbe, as you attempt to put a stop on the Doza tribe. It also has a cutesy art design. Get the video below the break.
The game’s out now in the US, with it releasing in Europe today.
