Trion Worlds launched a new trailer for MMORPG Rift at New York Comic Con, showing off the many new features and content added to the game since its launch in March.

Rift has seen five major numbered updates since launch, releasing every one to three months. The latest, Ashes of History, brought the game to version 1.5 in late September, adding in Chronicles dungeons and more options for endgame players.

The game’s major claims to fame are its freeform progression and titular inter-planar portals, which regularly spill forth enemies from one of a number of elemental dimensions.

I did enjoy Rift but cant go back as I gave all my stuff away. As someone who enjoys pvp, they need to seriously take a look at their ranking system as it simply doesnt work can causes a huge inbalance in play.

There really wasn’t that much of an issue with PvP if you simply persevere. In what MMO do you reach the highest level of PVP and instantly hold your own against other players when it comes to gear? I found the PVP to be a lot of fun, and imo, I thought the idea of a PVP specific talent tree and levels a pretty cool idea.
