NFL Blitz back in action in January

EA Sports is bringing a new version of classic Midway property NFL Blitz to console networks in early 2012.

Eurogamer reports the EA Tiburon-developed game is due on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in January 2012, and will go for $14.99 and 1200 MS Points respectively.

All 32 NFL teams are represented in the seven-versus-seven gameplay, along with 31 stadia. More fanciful features include boss battles and an Elite League mode.

Customisation, 60 fps graphics, online play and leaderboards complete the modern-day refresh of the 90's franchise.
