UK charts: Forza 4 races to top spot
Forza Motorsport 4′s headed to the top of the UK charts, pulling FIFA 12 from the summit after two weeks.

The Turn 10 racer is the biggest launch for a 360 racer in the UK ever.
Just Dance 3 was a new entry at two following its first multi-platform launch on Xbox 360 and Wii. The PS3 version is out in December.
FIFA 12 tumbles to three, while rival Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 stumbles at five, the first time a new PES title hasn’t been top of the UK charts at launch for a good while.
RAGE is the other game in the top five. Last week’s three Dark Souls slipped to seven.
New entry Ace Combat: Assault Horizon misses out on the top ten, entering at 12. Fellow new entries Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventures entered at 16, while Spiderman: Edge of Time just makes it into the top 40 at 39.
Find the top ten for the week ending October 15 below. Last week’s data is here.

To beat FIFA this early on is pretty impressive. When I went to get FIFA, this year pretty much like every year outside of a MW or COD release, the game store was the busiest I’ve seen it.
Especially as this is a console exclusive. So I wonder if FIFA didn’t sell as well as previously or if FORZA sold really well.

Just chart positions? Where are the actual ‘numbers sold’?

They never tell you the numbers. You can only see those if you pay them a whole bunch of money.

UKIE/ChartTrack don’t release sales numbers except the little mishap last year. Well, they do, but they’re never for public consumption.

Just noticed your text contradicts the chart:
“Just Dance 3 was a new entry at two” & “FIFA 12 tumbles to three”
1. Forza Motorsport 4
2. FIFA 12
3. Just Dance 3

congrats turn 10, no sympathy for konami with pes 2012, bought the game and it is a step back from the enjoyable second demo which was declared final retail code, which after an extensive playthrough of both, it clearly isnt.

@7 in my view, no mate. give it a try by all means but i would not suggest spending £30-40 on the game like i did. i thought the 2nd demo was excellent and got a shock at how much of a step back the final game is.
i dont like to see jobs lossed but after five years of one step forward, two-three steps back, i think that team working on the series needs to be removed or a european/other football region team needs to be brought in to work alongside the people in japan.
i still hope 2k sports enters the football game genre.

@8, That’s a shame. They do need to do something about their franchise, it just seems to be going nowhere. I would love to see what 2K could bring to the table if they decided to jump into the ring.
