Costume Quest coming to PC

Saturday, 15th October 2011 20:16 GMT By Andrew Groen

The critically acclaimed XBLA and PSN RPG from Tim Schafer’s Double Fine will now be arriving on the PC, Double Fine announced today.Double Fine has not yet announced a specific release date yet, and the only information cites “later this year” as the launch window. However, we’d be shocked if this didn’t show up in time for Halloween. In fact we’re a little surprised it’s not already been released.

When its released, the PC version will include the Costume Quest console DLC pack, Grubbins on Ice, completely free. For those unfamiliar with the title, Costume Quest is a Halloween-themed RPG from legendary designer Tim Schafer’s studio Double Fine. It stars little kids who complete quests around their neighborhood on Halloween, while donning magic costumes which give them the ability to do battle as real-life versions of that character.

We’ll be sure to post a PSA when the game actually releases.

Its fun little game especially if you like Turn based RPGs with a sort of job system that is based on you collecting costume pieces. I enjoyed it a lot and for the price you pay its well worth it imo.

Yes it is turn based. Its similar to the older FF games as far as combat goes. You also collect items to create a costume and that costume fits a job and it also offers a way to get through the puzzles through out the environments. Should just try it out at the very least.

@4 Like you said, it’s free on PS+, so just download it ang give it a spin.

If you like it you purchase it (now on Steam, too), if you don’t just delete it.

Oh PC now? Great! Only reason I didn’t buy after playing demo on xbox was piss poor frame rates.
