Gameloft apes Red Dead with new iOS game Six Guns

Infamous iOS developer and publisher Gameloft is back to their old tricks again. This time, they're cribbing ideas from Red Dead Redemption. Gameloft has a terrible reputation in the gaming industry for taking successful console and PC games, borrowing the formula, then releasing them as their own iOS games.

They've successfully released clones of World of Warcraft, Ocarina of Time, Grand Theft Auto, Modern Warfare, Halo and a whole lot more.

Their latest title takes clear "inspiration" from Red Dead Redemption, and is called Six Guns. It's even tinged with supernatural elements like Undead Nightmare. The main character even sort of sounds like John Marston. Whether anybody cares is another issue though. iPhone gamers continuously lay down cash for these titles, so clearly there are enough people out there who are just excited to have console-style games on their phone.
