Inafune still keen on Megaman Legends 3

Despite his public spat on exiting Capcom, Megaman creator Keiji Inafune really wants to make Megaman Legends 3.

"Honestly, I still wanna make it," Inafune said in a Famitsu interview translated on the 100,000 strong for bringing back Megaman Legends 3 Facebook page.

Inafune said he wasn't interested in continuing several series he had developed over his long career, but really did want to continue with Legends and thus initiated the Megaman Legends 3 fan project before leaving Capcom. He again indicated his new companies would consider developing the game on commission from Capcom; an offer the company turned down.

Apparently still sore over it, the designer said he's put his initials in the logo for his new game, KAIO King of Pirates, so that even if he loses creative control he will be known as the original creator.

"For a creator, the creation is like his child. With KAIO, I wanted to state that fact on paper and make it official," he said.

Publisher AQ Interactive has granted Inafune retention of the IP.

Thanks, GoNintendo.
