Full Hitman: Absolution gameplay trailer released
Wait no longer for the Hitman: Absolution gameplay trailer teased earlier – it’s live and watchable through this very break.

Machinima posted the trailer ahead of its general release to press – and even its appearance on the official Hitman channel – so if you want to see the full, over 15 minutes video, go go go!
We saw a tasterof this footage last night; to celebrate, Johnny posted a community Q&A session with IO Interactive’s Hakan Abrak.
Hitman: Absolution is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
Thanks, Pete.

Stupid console seeing through walls (in Batman:AA at least it was logical), generic stealth sequences, bland textures, crappy Uncharte-ish set pieces especially with helicopter where you don’t do nothing. I mean… nothing at all, just watch how it shoots stuff for no reason at all.
this is very generic for the Hitman game. It’s basically SC:Conviction mixed with Batman:AS and Uncharted.
this is not a Hitman game and it looks very, very generic. Almost like Kane and Lynch.
Changes here are for attracting new audiences. I understand Square Enix… But I’m not excited. Maybe console gamers who never played Hitman or just like Action excited, but i’m not. IMO.

@4 I very much agree with you, not to mention that this video is just out of character for 47 completely.

@5, well that was very surprising to be honest. Also, after Hitman 1 and 2 this “Console Action with cover system” for 47 looks out of the place.
I just hope it will turn at least for something better than Kane and Lynch or Conviction.

I suggest people take a look at trailers of games like Blood Money and Silent Assassin. FULL of action packed sequences, but anyone who played both games know that there’s multiple ways of getting things done. Of getting inside/out of the scene, and do the job in different ways.
You don’t have to kill cops in this mission, you don’t have to flip the switch, you can even avoid the chopper part, it was ALL done for demonstration purposes. Blood Money and Silent Assassin, and the other Hitman titles all gave you the chance to stay as silent and sneaky as you wanted. Nobody forced you to equip a rifle and shoot everyone, yet it still happened in the trailers.
So its only logical that they decided to kill a few cops in this one, to have that action-packed helicopter part and what not. We might enjoy sneaking around and do things stealthy, but apparently the developers didn’t think it would be in a demonstration. But the devs have already stated that you can go about this mission in multiple ways.
Only difference is that this mission seems to be alittle liniar, but then again it’s the starting level of the game, basically a tutorial. The devs have also stated that there WILL be plenty of open-ended levels, like we are used to seeing in Hitman games. Seeing through walls, i agree…it’s not very Hitman , but you don’t have to use it at all if you don’t want to. And really…all it’s doing is replacing the mini-map which was already showing npc and enemies in the form of dots moving around. It’s really not that drastic of a change as people make it out to be.
Hate all that stuff though? Just use the hardcore mode.
Personally i love the addition of a cover system, it makes sense and looks great. Much better than standing behind an object, trying not to get spotted. And sure…47 can climb a ledge now, big deal. It’s not like we are seeing him hanging upside down from a pipe, taking out baddies…lol. If that was to happen…id agree with the stuff about how its so similar to SC Conviction.

@4:
“Stupid console seeing through walls” What? How is seeing through walls a console thing? Moron much?
“generic stealth sequences, bland textures, crappy Uncharte-ish set pieces especially with helicopter where you don’t do nothing. I mean… nothing at all, just watch how it shoots stuff for no reason at all.”
Ah of course, the textures! If you want to criticise, do it smart, fratboy. You got some short attention span or something like that? Or are you just deaf? The chopper was shooting at 47 because he’s the guy they are chasing.
The pilot told him to surrender himself, 47 didn’t, so he opened fire. Listen to your own advice for once and “Get your brain fixed”. Because if you already forgotten why the Chopper opened fire, you’ve some serious problems with your short term memory.
“SC:Conviction mixed with Batman:AS and Uncharted.” Only for someone like you, this would be something a bad thing.
“Maybe console gamers who never played Hitman or just like Action excited, but i’m not. IMO.”
Console gamers who never played Hitman? You mean the people who played Hitman 2, Contracts, Blood Money on their consoles? Stupid argument after stupid argument. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?
And of course you’re not excited. You want your 1080p 60fps HD graphics. Otherwise you wouldn’t get your little buddy up. Pathetic really. How you so often think you’re above all of us, when your writing, your thinking, your acting is on the level of a 12 year old.
You sadden me, really. You little angry man.
@5: “@4 I very much agree with you, not to mention that this video is just out of character for 47 completely.”
47 hardly had any character. That’s coming from a Hardcore Hitman Fan.

I don’t know what to make of this. In some places, it was clever. In others, it was incredibly dumb. Example: That officer suspects me, but if I just pull my coat over my face in a completely not-suspicious way, then I’ll avoid generating any more suspicion. Is sound important in Hitman?
I’ve never played one, and on this evidence I’m not sure I’m about to.

@2 agree. Seems like most things in life, if the main character isn’t American then companies aren’t interested (Agent 47 is/was Romanian). Also seems stupid to change Hitman from David Bateson voice considering he hardly ever talks and is actually modelled after him.
How about a French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian or even a New Zealand hero instead? Oh yeah forgot Americans won’t buy it.
Just more companies selling out for a quick buck.

Yes sir. In fact its the most important aspect so many times I was caught because of gun fire or a lethal take down gone wrong.

@dj_lovejoy,
“How about a French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian or even a New Zealand hero instead? Oh yeah forgot Americans won’t buy it.”
great idea.
i want one with Russian, Japanese, French or German hero.
“8, first, go spit your stupid comment on kotaku about it’s awesomeness, second, i said about visuals only one time and it was truth. Bland textures and it’s true. I said it one time and you mentioned it like i said about visual quality over the post which is not true.
My main complaints were shitty action stuff for a Hitman game for attracting new audiences.
Third, no one agrees with your shitty opinion here or even on kotaku. Grow up kid. Stop spreading your childish bullshit on the net.

Good grief, what a retard. Next he’ll say someone is bad at writing and needs to know the basics of grammEr.
I don’t understand the point of his existence, at least on this website. All he does is either paraphrasing others with added vitriolic bullshit, or making things up. Worst thing that happened to this website since The Shit.
No wonder Russia is a shadow of it’s former self with retards like those. Even Vladimir Vladimirovich doesn’t fail that much at speech, lol.

@12: Nice how you ignored everything else. Guess you keep ignoring everything where you know you’re completely wrong. And please, don’t talk about childish. I know you have some weird sad picture of yourself, but if you look up your dictionary you’ll find your name under “CHILDISH”.
Besides no one agrees with you.

The seeing through walls thing must be part of the instinct system they were talking about. I for one thought it was impressive, and I am very much looking forward to it.

why is everyone saying that this isnt a hitman gamne when it clearly
@4 the seeing threw walls thing you can turn it on and off you dont have to have it on
@7 and also every hitman tutorial level has always been linear and this is no different but i 100% agree with your comment
one problem with that trailer was everyone looked the same at the end haha

All I know is that their are far too many sad little dweebs, who think that buying a couple of hitman games a few years back, gives them a better grasp of the franchise than Io, the actual creators o_O

@21 +1
Most of the time if you find someone you don’t agree with or think is a waste of time, it is easy enough to ignore them. Not like Fin is stalking anyone from one thread to another. Live and let live people.

That’s one way to use the word “trailer” quite loosely…its a gameplay video, not a trailer…I’m pretty sure it loses the designation of being able to call it a trailer when its over 5 minutes long and even that is pushing it…and this video is 16 minutes long so definitely not a trailer…gameplay video, gameplay demo whatever you want to call it but its not a trailer…kind of doesn’t do it justice calling it a trailer since I thought it would only bwe 2-3 minutes long before I looked at the video length

QFT
I mean just think about it, you create something, people enjoy it, you want to change some elements to stay current or broadening your audience and the same people who loved you, tell you – the creator – that you don’t understand what your game is about.
