Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC, pre-order bonuses unveiled

Square Enix has revealed it has a number of DLC packs for Final Fantasy XIII-2 in the works, along with retailer-specific pre-order bonuses.

According to Nova Crystallis, the publisher will release a number of DLC packs for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Although the content is yet to be fully detailed, it will include costumes for Noel and Serah.

Another pack will add in an optional boss: the traditional ultimate test, Omega. The monster can be added to the player's party once defeated.

The DLC has only been confirmed for Japan as yet, and is expected to release in December or January.

At least some of this content will indeed turn up in the West, as Ripten notes the Omega battle will is listed as a pre-order bonus for Amazon.

Gamestop has an alternate Serah costume, while Best Buy is offering a hardcover novella called Final Fantasy XIII -Episode i- which links the game with its prequel.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due in Japan before the end of the year, and is expected to release elsewhere in early 2012.
