RAGE ready to be pre-loaded on Steam and D2D

Those who have pre-ordered or pre-purchased RAGE through Direct2Drive or Steam can now pre-load the game. This should get all those prerequisite files out of the way which serve as a preamble to your game, cutting down on your installation time with prechecks and the like. Okay. I’m all out of words I can use that start with pre. Game’s out next week.

i was so excited when i noticed this on steam last night :) my internet sux here and if i had to dl it after launch i’d probably end up killing myself from the wait :P i’ve got 38% downloaded so far. Cant friggin wait to play it!!! :D

Got my copy yesterday via ebay ($55 free shipping). It’s better than I expected. Yes better.

Rage looks like a next-gen game. It plays like a current gen game (so far) but that’s not a bad thing. Weapons feel right, vehicles handle nicely, lots of interaction with townsfolk, and just jaw dropping visuals. The “mega-textures” combined with 60fps is a real treat to the eyes. Carmack/id have done it again.

Syncing my trophies right now, gotta get back to it…
