Naughty Dog has said it’s pleased that director Neil Burger has signed on to helm the Uncharted movie, and his ideas for the flick are seen as a good omen for fans of the game franchise.

Witcher 2 DLC to remain free on PC, same can’t be said for Xbox 360
The Witcher 2′s development director, Adam Badowski, has said that due to restrictive polices on Xbox 360, DLC for the game is unlikely to be free as it is on PC.

Kazunori confirms GT5 Spec 2.0 update for third week of October
Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi has tweeted that the Spec 2.0 update of Gran Turismo 5 will arrive in the third week of October, further promising that DLC will launch “a week later.” And that’s it. No exact date for the update, what’s in it or even details on the DLC.

Soul Calibur V gets ten minute Maxi-Siegfried video

PES 2012 PS3 patch to include 3D support, introduces myPES
Konami’s announced that 3DTV support for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 has arrived for the game’s US launch in a day one update. The update also includes the beta to myPES, a brand new social network being introduced for the series where users will be allowed to exchange data between their myPES and Facebook, such as sharing results and posting them onto other users. The full version will “arious statistic, achievements as well as the ability to create private and public game groups.”
The full myPES rolls out next mont with 360 and PC patches. PES 2012 launches here in Europe on October 14 for PS3, 360 and PC. Via Shack.

Trademark suggests Yakuza: Of the End’s headed West
Yakuza: Of the End is a game about Japanese mafia zombies. Crazy? Brilliant? Both? We have no idea. But – seeing as that description probably secretes some sort of pheromone-based Western exec repellent – we weren’t exactly hopeful that we’d ever get to find out. Show’s what we know, though, because the apparent result of a genre-based Mad Libs match looks to be expanding its criminal empire to this side of the pond. According to a European trademark dug up by Joystiq, something called Yakuza: Dead Souls is on the way. Odds are, it’s either a shiny new name for Of the End or a Dark Souls crossover. Which – come to think of it – sounds incredible.
