Kojima confirms online four-play co-op for Peace Walker HD
Hideo Kojima’s confirmed on Twitter that the HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will feature online co-op of up to four players through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live at 60FPS. Kojima tweeted the news and TwitPic’d a photo of him playing the game among four monitors.
Peace Walker HD, which comes with the MGS HD Collection, will release in November for PS3 and 360

IO Interactive to present Hitman Absolution at EG Expo
EG’s confirmed that IO Interactive will show Hitman Absolution at Eurogamer Expo in two weeks. Lead producer Hakan Abrak will show the reboot during three dev sessions at the event on Friday & Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Going by what we saw at gamescom a couple of weeks back, this is something you need to see if you’re going to Earls Court. Hit up our piece to see why.
Game’s out next year for PS3, 360 and PC. Get tickets for the event here, but be quick: Saturday’s sold out, so it probably isn’t too far behind that you’re going to start seeing everything else selling out.

Rumour: Syphon Filter 4 coming winter 2012, says Italian OPM
Official PlayStation Magazine Italy is claiming that Syphon Filter 4 will come to PS3 in winter 2012, according to SilleGamer (via PSX). It comes after claims that Sony accidentally showed a logo and revealed info of the game around E3 time in June. The leak also carried a Q4 2012 release date, as OPM Italy currently is.

Dead Island to get strategy iOS app at release this week
BradyGames to launch a strategy app on iOS devices for Dead Island when it releases this week. The app will feature a map of the games location to help get around it in the game, as well as help pinpoint collectable items in the game, including ID cards, Banoi Herald excerpts and investigation tapes. The game’s soundtrack will also appear on the app.
It’ll release tomorrow for $2.99. Hit up the reviews for it so far GameGuru.

Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition to cost $100
CVG reports the Hardened Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been priced at $100 in the US.
The ultimate version, the Hardened Edition sports unique disc art, a steelbook case, a “field journal” of art and development information, and console-exclusive DLC, as well as a year’s premium subscription to and “founder” status on Call of Duty Elite.
Modern Warfare 3 is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 8.
