Battlefield 3 pre-orders hit 1.25M, SWTOR still on for Q4
During the Citi 2011 Tech Conference on Wednesday, September 7, Electronic Arts CFO Eric Brown announced that Battlefield 3 pre-orders have hit around the 1.25 million mark, and are tracking ahead of previous Battlefield games.

The Legend of Zelda gets next Game Informer cover
Game Informer’s announced tonight that its next cover for the magazine’s new issue will be The Legend of Zelda. The magazine will take a look back at the series’ 25 years to date, as well as promising a ten page hands-on preview of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii. The mag will also preview Skyrim, Quantum Conundrum, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and “an intriguing new game from EA,” although it isn’t specifically named. More details here.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D hitting 3DS in March 2012
Atari has announced RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D for release on 3DS during March of next year. This is the first time the series has been made available for handhelds. The title is new, not a port, and will include standards like Coaster Creator and new modes such as Coaster Story, which contains tutorials and park challenges. Another addition is Park Sandbox mode, and the option to share your parks with other players. Thanks, Gamasutra.

Call of Duty XP 2011: Marisa Miller and Nick Swardson play paintball
During Activision’s Call of Duty XP event last weekend, many, many people participated in team paintball in a real-world recreation of Modern Warfare 2′s Scrapyard level. Many, that is, except for me. I stood in line for it for two hours before finally giving up, sunburnt and ready for something to eat at Burger Town. However, model Marisa Miller and actor-comedian Nick Swardson were able to get their chance, and below the break you will find a short they created regarding the experience. It’s rather silly, but enjoy anyway. I never had the opportunity to meet Miller, she was too pretty and I was intimidated, but Swardson was a super nice fella.

God of War: Origins Collection bonus content videoed
Ready at Dawn’s Dana Jan, game director for God of War: Origins Collection, has posted information on the PS Blog regarding the bonus content included with it. Inside the pack, you will find a Legionnaire Kratos skin, the Forest of the Forgotten combat arena, and a video of the Game Directors Live round table discussion and a chat with the various folks who have had a hand in the series over the years. The round table discussion with God of War developers took place last year prior to the launch of God of War: Ghost of Sparta, and a video featuring clips of it is posted below the break. God of War: Origins Collection is slated for release next week, and there is a demo for Volume II of the collection up on the PS Store today.
