PSA – Dead Island PC patch wipes save files
A patch released earlier today for the Steam version of Dead Island will wipe out any progress made so far.
TechLand has added a chapter select function to try and compensate for the loss of your data, and DailyDead has word Deep Silver intends some kind of compensation package for those affected.
The patch’s purpose was to correct the accidental release of an elderly development build instead of the finished game.

Nintendo confirms 3DS circle pad peripheral
Nintendo has told Kotaku the rumoured second-circle pad accessory for the 3DS is absolutely real.
“We can confirm that Nintendo plans to release the Circle Pad attachment, but Nintendo’s regional subsidiaries will make further announcements about its availability at a later date,” the platform holder said.
The peripheral was rumoured last month alongside a hardware revision, and leaked from Japanese magazines yesterday.
