Nintendo of America’s translated into English the presentation given by Shigeru Miyamoto for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at Nintendo’s recent pre-TGS event for 3DS. You’ll see the 25th anniversary video running from Skyward’s graphics at the beginning before Miyamoto shows off the game for a couple of minutes or so. Get it after the break, via Siliconera.

Zelda: Skyward Sword launches on November 18 in the UK for Wii.

Wow. I was genuinely blown away by this. It felt like this really is the next-gen Zelda game we’ve been waiting for. As good as TP was, it felt far too similar to OOoT, it didn’t break out of OOoT’s shadow for me. It didn’t form its own identity. SS looks as though it is. Zelda is such a unique game in that it really draws you into its world. I have such high hopes now that SS can finally live up, if not surpass the genius that was OOoT. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I now feel.
