Report – Syndicate gets February 2012 release at EA Vegas event
According to PSLS and Gamasutra, EA’s locked Starbreeze’s Syndicate reboot for a February 2012 release in the US and Europe.

The shooter will apparently release on February 21, 2012 in the US and February 24 in Europe.
The news supposedly comes from the press conference that EA held overnight in Las Vegas where it announced Shank 2.
We haven’t seen a press release materalise with the dates as yet, but it seems like they were definitely announced at the event, going by a tweet from EA US PR boss Wendy Spander, merely saying: “More news from EA from the EA Vegas Game Show – Syndicate announced their launch date. Go to EA.com for the news”
There’s no mention of them on the website, though. We’ll ask EA now.
Syndicate was announced as the game once known as Project Redlime earlier this month. It’ll be out on PS3, 360 and PC.

With just four months to go until Prime-Time, some footage would be nice =/

Well a PS3 magazine was shown a demo of it and had some new pictures, the details posted basically made it sound and look at lot like Mass Effect 2 but as an FPS minus the dialogue/party options.
Syndicate controlled area’s resemble look of Mass Effect, uncontrolled areas resemble Blade Runner look.
It’s intended to be a more difficult FPS than your average title, enemies wont pop out for easy take downs and flush you out of trying to hide, rewards aggressive game play which charges your powers.
Power allow you to hack other chipped opponents, get them to fight for your side, disable shields, commit suicide etc. regular people cant be hacked.
Global missions set all over the world including some classic missions so yeah that ocean picture was definitely the Atlantic Accelerator.
Whether it’s any good or not is impossible to say as they weren’t allowed to play it.

This is rather worrying. Big FPS games don’t usually get release dates this close to their reveals. Reminds me of budget Activision titles.
