Howard: Skyrim’s advances as significant as Oblivion’s

Bethesda’s Todd Howard has said The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is as much an improvement over Oblivion as Oblivion was to Morrowind.

“I’d say it’s about the same,” Howard said in an interview published in the latest issue of PC Gamer, as reported by AE Portal.

“The number of gameplay changes and things like that are probably on the same level.”

Having said that, in terms of graphics, engine and tech improvements, Howard isn’t as willing to commit.

“I don’t know that I would say it’s as large a leap, just because the technology gap between Morrowind and Oblivion was greater,” he explained.

Skyrim, the fifth core entry in The Elder Scrolls, releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11.

I will buy one game in November and that is Skyrim, and probably won’t buy another game till early 2012.
Sitting down to play a Bethesda open world game for the first time is always an amazing experience. I cannot wait to play the game…
My biggest problem is what to buy, Console or PC version. Console has the ease of controls and quickest to play, but the PC version will look better. I have a 480GTX but only a Dual core processor, wondering how it will play…
