New nVidia drivers said to up Battlefield 3 performance by 38 percent

Nvidia’s released new drivers today which it claims improve the performance of the upcoming Battlefield 3 by 38 percent.

A 38 percent performance boost is no mean feat, and developer DICE acknowledges the fact, and has urged everyone taking part in the upcoming Battlefield 3 beta to download the new drivers via a tweet.

The drivers can be downloaded from the Geforce website.

AMD’s planning to release their own set for new drivers for the game shortly.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Fingers crossed no more crashing.

If the beta crashes for me then I’m waiting a solid month before I buy BF3. First month will probably suck anyway.

They say UP TO 38 percent, which was clearly stated to have been measured using a GTX 570 at 2560×1600 resolution in DX11 mode versus their last version of drivers. You will NOT see a 38% performance boost across the board, this whole post is very misleading…

Thanks for the heads up!

@3
Are you new to the internet? There’s nothing out of the ordinary with the post. nVidia always measures performances increases like that.

The author of this post kindly pointed us to new drivers, and you’re complaining… talk about ungrateful.

@2 Yup you’re totally right. It will only improve performance ‘up to 38%’ on their newer/latest model graphics cards. They always stop tweaking things after about 6 months for older cards. Got a horrible feeling my gtx 260 will struggle in this game, and might need an upgrade. :(
