Below the break, is a trailer for The Darkness II which catches you up on the story so far. Apparently, you can’t own the Darkness – it owns you. Game’s out in February for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Thanks, IGN.

The gameplay looks way more polished and fun than the original. Just bring back the awesome music from the first game, keep story engaging enough and it could be a superb FPS.

@3 – The first game was awesome, and was way polished. Digital extremes doesn’t have a history of super polished games (pariah, Warpath, Dark Sector), but from the videos I have faith this one will be good.
However, not having Kirk as Jackie again is a real downer…….

Man, I just love The Darkness.
I used to get real kicks out of walking around in the packed subway station, deliberately trying to trigger the Darkness just to hear what he would say in various neurotic overtones.
‘These pathetic, little maggots…’
