US News Wrap, September 21 – What Happened Today

Hey all, it’s me again with my shift wrap. Time to get you caught up.

Not a whole lot happened today, as I suspect most industry folks are traveling to London for the EG Expo. I know Johnny, Pat, and Stace are, along with the majority of the European and UK press. So, we’ll blame the slow-news drudgery on it whether that be the case or not.

Anyway, enjoy the Depeche Mode header. They are probably my most favorite band ever next to Led Zeppelin.

See ya tomorrow.

Listening to Violator right now!
Got it for my *cough* 38th birthday last week.

What are the albums after song of faith and devotion like? kinda lost touch with DM after that but really got back into them again.

@1 Honestly, I loved Ultra, which is the one immediately after Songs of Faith and Devotion – but apparently I’m in a minority. Exciter has its good moments, Playing the Angel is a bit heavier, and 2009′s Sounds of the Universe is amazing. I saw them touring that in Los Angeles and it was, perhaps, the closest thing I’ve had to a religious experience.

Steph, I think I love you even more, now that I know where you rank this band ;)

@1 & 2 – I have yet to purchase one CD I didn’t like, and yes, Ultra was great. I can’t pick one that is my fav!
