A first look at Katamari Damacy for Vita

We knew there was a new Katamari Damacy rolling towards the PlayStation Vita, but now, Namco Bandai has given us a sneaky peek of what's in store, with a bunch of screens, a pile of details and one very dizzy trailer.

Writing for the PlayStation.Blog, Rich Bantegui (Community Manager at Namco Bandai) couldn't contain his excitement for this series that is "dear to all of our hearts" despite featuring such a teeny tiny little hero.

This article contained embedded media which can no longer be displayed.

Things to note:
Katamari Damacy is a working title only. The final game could be called just about anything, so don't be too surprised.

The Vita's rear touch-pad will be used to squeeze and stretch your katamari, meaning the world is pick-upable in all new ways.

We don't have a release date just yet, but are promised more details "in the coming weeks and months".

In the meantime, here's a few screens to tide you over.
