Hi-Rez starts accepting beta applications for Tribes: Ascend

Hi-Rez has announced it's now accepting applications for the Tribes: Ascend closed beta, which is scheduled to begin in "the next few weeks." Players can apply for this initial phase through here, and Hi-Rez Studios will be granting access to thousands of hand-selected players worldwide as well. During the beta, players will partake in two gameplay modes over four multiplayer maps, and will have access to three vehicles. There will also be 12 playable classes to choose from, and multiplayer matches of up to 32 people.

Hi-Rez Studios will continue to increase the number of beta participants through the end of this year in preparation for a general game release in Q1 of 2012.
