Rumour – L.A. Noire GotY due November

Distributor listings suggest a Game of the Year edition of L.A. Noire may drop sooner than expected.

Gamers Globe reports the new edition has appeared on distributor schedules in Nordic territories.

Some retail sites already have the game listed for pre-order as a result, with a November release expected.

The new version apparently includes all the DLC released for L.A. Noire so far, as is Take Two’s usual formula.

L.A. Noire was released in May this year. If the rumour is true, the Game of the Year Edition may reach shelves ahead of that for Red Dead Redemption, another Rockstar-published title, which released in May 201o.

Thanks, distraet!

Hopefully they’ll release the PC version as a GOTY to, and hopefully Red Dead Redemption if they ever make that one for PC too :-/ .

Isn’t it a bit strange to have a Game of the Year Edition of a game before any Game of the Year nominations are announced? It’s a good game and all, but with this last quarter, with Skyrim and Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City and Rage and so on…it’s a bit early and, potentially, inaccurate.

PC version with all the DLC too, please? And give me RDR like deadstoned said. Love the PS3 version, but it still has issues at times.

Rockstar has already stated they do not plan on making a PC version of Read Dead. And its been 2 years since release. Time to accept it and move on.

I still haven’t picked this up, so a GOTY bundle would be nice. :-)

GOTY? No wonder rockstar refuses to pay Bafta fees. Oh for the days of Half-Life, when you knew a GOTY was marketed on an overwhelming critical consensus.

Isnt the aussie company that made the game going under? Maybe this is a way for them to try and save themselves.

@13 Nope. IP is owned by Rockstar, so they handed development (or better, CONVERSION) of the PC version to Rockstar Leeds and Team Bondi won’t get a buck out of it, and I think they’ll be already closed down once the game is released.

I wish there was more to the gameplay, like more interactive things to do outside of investigations. Still a quality game, just didn’t reach it’s full potential imho.

And YES! RDR needs to release on PC! Make it happen Rockstar.

Both GOTY versions of LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption have since been removed from the Nordic distributor’s website even though they confirmed the existence of LA Noire GOTY via email. Rockstar’s not pleased, I’d imagine.

all LA Noire DLC costs 640 MSP this week, so why a GotY? ^^

All DLC ‘so far’. There’s more to come, isn’t there? Which isn’t included in the pass.
