Sony Bend planned Resistance Retribution sequel before Uncharted Vita

Sony Bend has admitted it was planning a sequel to Resistance Retribution before it started work on Uncharted: Golden Abyss for Vita.

The studio's John Garvin admitted to IGN, though, that it just simply never got off the ground.

"I had spent like six weeks writing up a complete outline and we had a demo for a [Resistance: Retribution] sequel and then that kind of never got off the ground," he said to the site.

More details on that are expected in a full interview due to be published on the site tomorrow.

Resistance Retribution, released in 2009 as a PSP title, was set two months before the events of Insomniac's Fall of Man on PS3.

The series now has a Vita title in the works, Burning Skies, while Resistance 3 for PS3 launches in the UK tomorrow. Bend will release Uncharted: Golden Abysss next year for the next-gen handheld.
