Harvest Moon series notches up 1 million sales in PAL territories

Rising Star Games is pleased to announce it's moved over 1 million units of Harvest Moon games in Europe and Australia.

MCV reports the UK-based independent publisher has brought 13 Harvest Moon games to the West in the last ten years.

“Reaching 1 million sales of Harvest Moon is certainly a cause for celebration and we are ecstatic,” managing director Martin Defries aaid.

“This is a huge achievement for us. It goes to show what a strong market there is for Japanese games in the PAL market and that Rising Star Games is one of the top independent publishers in the UK.”

Rising Star Games is focussed on bringing otherwise-neglected Japanese titles to PAL territories. It has distribution partnerships with Nintendo and Namco Bandai within Australia.

Harvest Moon is published by Natsume in the US and Marvellous in Japan. The next game in the series is Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, which releases on DS in late September.
