Sledgehammer’s Michael Condrey discusses MW3′s Kill Confirmed mode
During Call of Duty XP, Michael Condrey, COO and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, chatted about the multiplayer in Modern Warfare 3 and additions like Kill Confirmed mode, the new Spec-Ops Survival mode, and how Call of Duty: Elite will be integrated into the experience with GameFront.
“We’re really trying to elevate the individual player’s experience and the team experience with new modes like Team Defend and Kill Confirmed,” Condrey said. “There is something for everyone’s game style. Kill Confirmed is something new to the game and I am finding it to be a ton of fun. How it works, is every player in the match has a dogtag, and when you die you drop it. Your team gets points by collecting these dogtags, and teams can prevent the other from getting these points by collecting your own dogtags.
So, there becomes a really great dynamic where you get a great kill, which counts, but really, collecting the dogtags and confirming the kill is as important as getting the kill itself. I really think it’s going to be a game changer in multiplayer online.”
Modern Warfare 3, a joint development venture between Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer, is out on November 8.

So instead of Spec Ops missions it’ll be what has come to be the norm now, horde mode *facepalm*

@ 1: Agreed. I was also pissed when I heard about that. Spec Ops missions were so much fun in MW2, too bad they’re gone…

What the hell are you guys talking about? They confirmed the game will have the horde mode AND the traditional Spec Ops missions, we loved from MW2.

@WE LOVED? WE? Really? Really! REALLY?! Spec-Ops mode is the least played mode in MW2 for me. Played more TDMs (which I hate) more than Spec-ops.

@1,@2 There are going to be standard spec ops mission from MW2.
They said numerous times:”beside standard spec ops mission from MW2 we have now brand new Survival mode….
Think they said one is defusing bomb and other is defending it so you can put sentry gun around it something like that

Horde modes/Zombies are the new best shit. I love it. You always want to reach a higher and higher round breaking your own records. Zombies rock!
