Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey discusses MW3's Kill Confirmed mode

During Call of Duty XP, Michael Condrey, COO and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, chatted about the multiplayer in Modern Warfare 3 and additions like Kill Confirmed mode, the new Spec-Ops Survival mode, and how Call of Duty: Elite will be integrated into the experience with GameFront.

"We're really trying to elevate the individual player's experience and the team experience with new modes like Team Defend and Kill Confirmed," Condrey said. "There is something for everyone's game style. Kill Confirmed is something new to the game and I am finding it to be a ton of fun. How it works, is every player in the match has a dogtag, and when you die you drop it. Your team gets points by collecting these dogtags, and teams can prevent the other from getting these points by collecting your own dogtags.

So, there becomes a really great dynamic where you get a great kill, which counts, but really, collecting the dogtags and confirming the kill is as important as getting the kill itself. I really think it's going to be a game changer in multiplayer online."

Modern Warfare 3, a joint development venture between Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer, is out on November 8.
