GAME to stop selling pre-owned Xbox 360s
GAME is to stop selling second-hand Xbox 360s, but will keep accepting trade-ins, the company has said to Eurogamer.

A rep told the site that it was because people didn’t want to buy older models and instead opting for newer models.
An internal GameStation memo has suggested that its to do with the “high failure rate” of the hardware.
The models that will no longer be accepted include the original Core entry model, Arcade and 20Gb HDMI-less SKUs.

Several years after most of the problems were fixed? Eh?

They’re only stopping sales of the really old ones – i.e. the ones that are most likely to fail. Sales of the more modern 360s and the ‘slim’ will continue. Surprised they didn’t do this a long time ago, to be honest.
