Tera “The Journey” Cinematic CG trailer

TERA racked up a bunch of “Best of E3″ nominations earlier in the year for its combat system, and now they’re showing off their CG chops.
Every MMO needs a good, overly flashy cinematic that drives millions of dollars away from development! Now we get to see TERA’s.

Wicked cool trailer, I’m guessing this will be $10-$15 per month.

I’m very glad that Guild Wars 2 doesn’t have these cinematics that cost so much and draw resources out of development. That GW2 can sustain the level of continued hype that it does without a single cinematic trailer of this sort (all the trailers it’s released have been in-engine) then that speaks volumes. TOR feels it needs cinematic trailers, so does TERA, but GW2 does not. It’s confident enough without them.

I don’t know, any game that feels that it has to raise hype based upon a bunch of cinematic trailers looks like it lacks confidence in being able to sell the game by the merits of the game, rather than by the merits of a cinematic trailer. Just keep in mind that the actual game isn’t going to be like that. :P
