Xbox Live Rewards now caters to AU, NZ

Xbox Live Rewards, which honours the Xbot faithful via a frequent flyers-like points system, is now available to Australia and New Zealand.

Former Frag Doll turned Xbox Australia rep Ashley Jenkins tweeted the news, and later confirmed the program will be very close to its US equivalent, although some rewards will vary depending on local availability.

Members earn points for purchasing specific Marketplace items and completing surveys, as well as participating in occasional promotional activities and re-subscribing. Rewards are generally restricted to MS Points, although occasional real world and virtual goodies sneak through.

The program is open to all Gold level LIVE subscribers in Australia and New Zealand, aged 18 and over. You can sign up and harvest more details on the official website.

Xbox LIVE Rewards first launched in December last year, but had been restricted to UK and US residents.
