Nintendo has dismissed chatter that it’s to open a dedicated store in London, similar to the Nintendo World store in New York.

PSA: Register for Nintendo’s Ambassador program by 11:59pm tonight
Just a reminder that those of you who already own a 3DS, or just bought one on the cheap before the price-drop, you need to register for the Ambassador Program by 11:59pm in order to get your free 20 games from Nintendo. In order to do this, just perform a system update or visit the eShop. All 20 games will be delivered to your 3DS system as they are released, with all in your system by the end of the year.

Space Marine developer diary discusses making “blockbuster entertainment”
A new developer diary for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is posted below. It takes a look at the production of the game with cinematic footage mixed in. Seems as though Relic took some lessons from the the film industry when it came to creating the overall look and feel of the game. See for yourself below. Quick shots: FFXIII-2 shots show throwable Moogle
Square Enix has dropped a couple of new screens of Final Fantasy XIII-2, one of which showing a Moogle been thrown in the game. Why? It’s all to do with retrieving loot that neither Serah nor Noel can get to, among other things . There’s more screens on the way tomorrow and on Monday, August 22, which will come with additional info.
FFXIII-2 releases in 2012 for PS3 and 360.

Modern Warfare 3 to be at GAMEFest
GAME’s announced that Modern Warfare 3 will be at GAMEFest next month in Birmingham, with the appearance of the Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer shooter being the first in the UK. The public will also be able to go hands-on with the game at the show. GAMEFest happens from September 16-18 in the NEC Arena, ahead of Eurogamer Expo on September 22-25 in London. MW3′s out on November 8.

Intent’s announced this morning that Feargel Sharkey – ex-Undertones frontman, now head of UK Music – will deliver an address at the London Games Festival. Sharkey will speech on how lessons from the music industry can be applied to the games industry. The address will happen at the one-day event on November 10.

Sony, LG settle patent dispute
Sony and LG have announced they’ve settled patent disputes between the two companies. The lawsuits earlier this year affected shipments of PS3 coming into Europe after customs were ordered to seize shipments in Holland due to an injunction from LG, which claimed that PS3 used its Blu-ray video technology. The Korean company has now dropped the suits, as has Sony, with the former adding it has signed a cross-licensing deal.

PlayStation Home to stream Sony gamescom presser live
Sony’s announced on the EU PS Blog it’s to stream live its gamescom press conference inside PlayStation Home. The event will be streamed inside the gamescom event space in the service from 7pm CET (6pm BST). The space itself will be available to download from 5pm CET (4pm BST) via the Navigator in Home and the What’s New section in the XMB. In case you can’t get in, we’ll be there too with a liveblog.
