DmC to give Dante new backstory, make it a key game mechanic
If you’re violently resistant to change, you may want to tell all puntable creatures to leave the room. According to Siliconera, Dante’s now half-demon and half-angel. Unfortunately, according to our villainous arch-rival Math, that leaves very little room for the human half that so characterized the white-haired embodiment of mid-life crisis in previous games. On the upside, the back-and-forth between Dante’s eclectic backgrounds will manifest in changes to his weapon, creating either a holy scythe or evil axe. Fingers crossed, though, that the weaponized guitar’s also making a comeback. Because truly, what’s more righteous than the power of rock?

Asura’s Wrath Gamescom trailer shows Street Fighter style fighting
Capcom’s released a new trailer for their upcoming hack and slash title Asura’s Wrath. It features the game’s protagonist and a dude who’s got a hairstyle resembling the mane of a lion, fighting Street Fighter style. No really. The trailer also features some cool QTE sequences and looks really fun. The Cyber-Connect2 developed actioner has no date yet but is in development for PS3, and Xbox 360. DmC Devil May Cry gets gamescom trailer and screens
Capcom’s released a new trailer for Ninja Theory developed DmC Devil May Cry and it shows a young Dante hacking and slashing at everything in his way. The video shows various environments from the game, with Dante hacking enemies in each one. It looks fun. The game’s scheduled for a 2012 release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
