Castlevania: Harmony of Despair hitting PSN next month
Konami has confirmed Castlevania: Harmony of Despair will arrive on PSN in September. The PS3 version comes with local multiplayer for up to four players, as well as the maps Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire with the downloadable characters Julius and Yoko. Better late than never.

Players apparently need to be online in order to experience From Dust
Earlier today, there were some unverified reports circulating that Steam was providing refunds to those who purchased From Dust via the service, due to the inclusion of Ubisoft’s always-on DRM. Silent Hill: Book of Memories shots are interesting
Konami showed off Silent Hill: Book of Memories at gamescom this week, and has sent along shots of the title for those who didn’t attend. The game is set for release on Vita, and is the first multiplayer Silent Hill title ever. This cooperative mode lets players explore the Otherworlds together, which includes limited resources and a dark atmosphere. The story follows a mysterious book, which includes all of the player’s memory – and this content can be altered too, apparently. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is slated for release in early 2012.

Shots of new PSP model E-1000 emerge
Sony has anew model out called PSP E-1000, which will run folks in Europe €99. It doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi, has a matte finish, and according to Kotaku, which fiddled it and took pictures, it is a big larger but lighter. GameStop sales down 3.1%, digital sales up 69%
GameStop has reported a 3.1 percent drop in sales to $1.74 billion during its second quarter. Profit came in at under $10 million from $40.3 million to $30.9 million for the quarter. The firm attributed the sales decline to slow hardware sales and a lack of new software releases compared to July 2010.
