Xbox Live Indie Games Summer Uprising begins
The line-up for Xbox Live Indie Games Summer Uprising has been decided, with the community picking ten games that will go live on Xbox Live via the Indie category beginning this week and ending next week. The first title, Raventhorne, went live yesterday, with today’s title being Battle High: San Bruno, with the final title being Redd: The Lost Temple next Friday. All titles will be priced at $3 except Battle High and Cute Things Dying Violently, which will be $1.

Grasshopper releases screens, video for Black Knight Sword
Grasshopper’s released a couple of screens and video for downloadable title Black Knight Sword. The game sees you, a black knight, team up with a sword spirit to take down a princess. The game is being made as of a continued collaboration with Digital Reality: the two are currently making Sine Mora together. You can get the video below, via D’Toid, with shots at the link. It’ll release on XBLA and PSN, but no date as yet.

LucasArts hiring for development on “open-world RPG”
LucasArts is staffing up for an “open-world RPG,” according to a job listing from the company on its website. The listing was tweeted out by LucasArts creative director Clint Hocking, who’s currently working on an unannounced project at LA. Maybe this is it. Who knows. You can get the listing here.

Report: Sonic CD XBLA port to be announced at PAX
Sega’s set to announce an Xbox Live Arcade port of Sonic CD at PAX this weekend, according to a Major Nelson post which mentions what games will be at the event. Nothing has been announced on it so far formally, but it will be at Xbox’s Booth 432 as a playable title. Sega said that it’ll be “sharing some more information soon.”

Full 12 minute Metro: Last Light gameplay video does the rounds
THQ’s released, as promised, the full 12 minute gameplay video of the Metro: Last Light. This was the demo from the 4A shooter that was shown at E3 in June and at gamescom last week. Going by what we saw in Cologne, it’s looking spectacular.
