US PS Store and Plus Update – Revelations MP beta date, The Baconing, GoW:Origins demo, CoD sale

Sony has updated the US end of the PlayStation Store with some nice goodies for Plus members and everyone else. Get caught up on both below the break.

Plus Members

Plus members now have access to the Assassin’s Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta, which starts on September 2, The Baconing, which comes with free DLC through PLAY, if you purchase before September 19 is available today, and not just for Plus members, and there is also the God of War: Origins Collection demo for Plusers. Non-Plus members will get the demo on September 13.

There’s also Wakeboarding HD for $3.99 and a Section 8: Prejudice PSN Avatar Pack (10 Avatars) for free.

Downloadable games this week include The Baconing, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, 4 Elements HD, Ugly Americans: Apocalypseageddon, Shock Troopers, World Heroes and more.

Demos are for The Baconing, Ugly Americans: Apocalypseageddon, and add on content includes goodies for: LittleBigPlanet 2, the Toy Story 3 Costume Pack for LBP2, No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, Homefront – The Rock Map Pack, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 3, and the RHCP pack for Rock Band 3.

On sale this week are packs for Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 , World At War, Call Of Duty Classic, and digital dowloads of Wakeboarding HD, Lord Of Arcana, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, The 3Rd Birthday Digital and more.

PSP users can download Madden NFL 12 , Cladun X2, Shock Troopers, World Heroes PSP and more.

    Just played MK: Kollection. I have to say as cool as it is, I’m a bit disappointed they don’t allow you to stretch the screen in custom settings like you can in previously released solo MKII. Instead you HAVE to play standard aspect ratio with bars on the side. Seems like a poor decision if you ask me. Hopefully they can patch it in if enough people complain.
