The Secret World beta registrations open up - details

Following a delay over the weekend, beta sign-ups for The Secret World are officially open.

If you hadn't signed up in the months leading into the latest beta scheme, you'll need to participate in Funcom's pre-beta social game to earn a spot. The Secret War is yet to be fully revealed, but does involve choosing one of the game's three factions - there's a personality test if you're unsure - and fighting it out for dominance on Facebook.

Hopeful testers will need to sign up on the game's website. Players will be notified when The Secret War officially kicks off.

Although a timer on the site suggested beta registrations would open last week, once the countdown completed disappointed fans were met with an image of a smashed clock and a message announcing a delay.

It's not clear whether Funcom experienced technical issues, or if the delay was part of the deep, ongoing ARGs which have challenged the community for months.

No release date has been set for The Secret World as yet.

Thanks, Massively.
