House of the Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut contains Creeping Flesh

A looks at the second exclusive level for PS3 contained in House Of The Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut has been posted over on the PS Blog. It is apparently set in “the cosy confines of an abattoir taken over by a meaty disease of sorts,” called Creeping Flesh.

In the level, Varla and Candy enter the fray with more guns, “motives for revenge and mutants galore,” to battle the meaty infestation. Varla and Candy will be fighting through this wall of flesh, and battle mutants along the away.

Since these nasty creatures are sporting more flesh than usual due to their armor being made of extra bodies, they are a bit impervious to gunfire compared to your standard mutant.

It’s all rather interesting and you can have a look through the link, which also give you a peek at the level boss, which is sort of a hybrid of mutant and cow.

House Of The Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut is on slate for October and contains added Move and 3D support.

If only I had the cash, I’d get this. @1, speaking as someone who owns Move, there actually are other games that do use Move rather well, KillZone 3, Socom 4 to name a couple, as well as great upcoming games that’ll support it like CounterStrike: Global Offensive (title that’s a bit of an oxy moron) and Bioshock Infinite (though in truth, only got it because at the time I got it, it was the only way to buy a 320 GB PS3, bundled with Move).

I’m liking this and hoping they bring both Resident Evil Wii rail shooters to PS3 with HD/MOVE support just as they did Dead Space Extraction and this title.
