Peggle passes 30 million milestone

PopCap's compulsive puzzle game has proved staggeringly popular.

Shack reports Peggle has racked up 30 million downloads since its 2007 release on Mac and PC.

In the interim, the game has been released for Android, browsers, DS, Facebook, iPhone, the PlayStation Network, Windows Mobile, Xbox Live Arcade, Zeebo and Android, as well as appearing as an in-client game in World of Warcraft.

An iPad version was released yesterday at a special introductory price of $2.99/£1.99.

EA recently bought the incredibly successful casual king Popcap for $750 million.
