GameStation website reboots with £99 360 offer

Friday, 26th August 2011 10:43 GMT By Johnny Cullen

GameStation has gone live with a new look on it website, and is celebrating by selling Xbox 360s for £99. Whilst clicking on it shows a £178 pricetag – it’s £159 second-hand – it mentions that prices will “change randomly during the day.” GAME has also given its site a new bit of paint, but, unlike GameStation, has no massive deals of the sort. Go buy Deus Ex instead.

Prices change randomly throughout the day??
In other words: ‘We’re going to advertise it as £99, but we’re never going to sell it for that!’

Nothing more likely to piss people off than to advertise a great offer then not follow through with it. Simple Skinner Box mechanics

Ridiculous. They shouldn’t be allowed to say £99.99 if that’s not the price. If they’ve run out, change the promotional panel.

False advertising, and they’re getting free PR out of it too (as evidenced by this article).

Well, that was a fucking joke. They announce £99 deals, run out as soon as it’s announced, then change the banner to say sold out hours later.

    Sale Fail.
