Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC patch to reduce load times
The latest patch for Deus Ex: Human Revolution – which some of you may have seen installing on your preloads before the game unlocked on Steam – will supposedly cut load times significantly.

The patch notes make explicit reference to a dramatic reduction in waiting:
“The speed increase depends on machine spec and settings, but loading time improvements of over 50 percent have been measured on some machines.”
Human Revolution requires a reload on mission failure or death, which has been a cause of some frustration to players testing various strategies. A video comparison of console load times saw gamers waiting around thirty seconds on loading screens.
With today’s UK release, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is now available in all major territories on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
Thanks, Joystiq.

So the patch comes out today? Gosh, i can’t wait to play it. Glad it’s official out now. Didn’t even knew that the European version was getting delayed for a few days.

I started playing a bit last night but it was late and I knew I didn’t have enough time to get into it. Running it on the PC and so far I didn’t come across any major load times. I might need to get a bit more into the game.
So far I would say it’s alright, a few things bug me such as the floaty feel to movement but as I said, still too early to make any real judgement.

I’m still waiting for the postman to deliver it!! God it gets me so agitated when I don’t get it the day before release like I usually do.

Oh god. THANK YOU! That’s really what I hate the most about this game. Even on PC, the loading times are ridiculous…
Like the loading times, when you have the loading glitch in Mass Effect 2 (PC), if a Xbox360 Controller is plugged in.
