Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC patch to reduce load times

The latest patch for Deus Ex: Human Revolution - which some of you may have seen installing on your preloads before the game unlocked on Steam - will supposedly cut load times significantly.

The patch notes make explicit reference to a dramatic reduction in waiting:

"The speed increase depends on machine spec and settings, but loading time improvements of over 50 percent have been measured on some machines."

Human Revolution requires a reload on mission failure or death, which has been a cause of some frustration to players testing various strategies. A video comparison of console load times saw gamers waiting around thirty seconds on loading screens.

With today's UK release, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is now available in all major territories on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
