Serious Sam Double D launch trailer is bananas

The first entry in the Serious Sam Indie Series is nearly upon us, and brought with it a frankly mental trailer.

Serious Sam Double D is due on PC digital distribution on August 30, with an Xbox Live Arcade release to follow. It's main claim to fame - before claiming responsibility for the trailer below - is that it gives you the chance to stack guns on top of other guns to make even more awesome guns.

The Serious Sam Indie Series is a trio of externally-developed games; still to come are Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack, and auto-running action game, and the turn-based RPG Serious Sam: The Random Encounter.

No release date has been announced for the last two, or for Serious Sam BFE, the next core entry in the lighthearted shooter series.

Thanks, GiantBomb.
