Codemasters recruits Freddie Wong for Bodycount trailer

Bodycount’s not a game that takes itself too seriously, so Codemasters had no problem turning over some grunty sound assets to YouTube star Freddie Wong for this new trailer.

“After meeting Codemasters at E3 and demoing their new game, BodyCount, they asked us if we would like to make a video around the game! We told them that we would love to since we really enjoyed the game and they gave us access to their massive custom sound effects library,” Wong wrote on YouTube.

Bodycount is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next week. There’s a demo available on both console networks; Martin went hands-on with it recently and was suitably impressed.

Thanks, RipTen.

I think this is pointless video for a game.

yea very pointless, has no reminiscent to the game itself. I like Freddy’s work, his skill can match hollywood style of action and effects, their camera work is deeply amazing.

Very pointless video, he should be firing from the hip most of the time and where is the shredding?

Wow, bunch of killjoys in here! :S

Kudos to Codies for letting him have some fun with their game, letting him mock their video game tropes like dull mission briefings and silly ‘hacking’ objectives.

I really don’t get the idea of those poorly produced live action clips. Am I supposed to get excited about a game from watching a bunch of advanced LARPs pretend like they’re in one?
