It’s not as good as Fable II, but it’s still a laugh.

I’ve still not picked up Fable 3. It got middling reviews, then it got buried in the Christmas releases rush, then I… sort of forgot about it. Might have to go and see how cheap it is now.

Let’s see if I can look into my magic ball and predict Microsoft 2012 E3:

1. Fable
2. Halo
3. COD timed map packs
4. More non exclusive 3rd party stuff

Fable 3 was a big step backwards to be honest. At the end of the day a very underwhelming game.

Fable III and II were a horrible mess in every aspect there is. Casual piece of shit. Third just fixed second games problems, but thats it. More of the same crap from Moulynex. The problem is not because they are so arcadish or because there is no RPG… but because the adventure is so simplistic… So stupid and retarded that you don’t want to explore this world. There is nothing to explore and there are no characters to love. Combat is also one of the worst in videogames. Juct click one button… It’s even worse than casual.

first game is still the best from the series. It was the only good game from the series.

I’m not buying Fable anymore. Fable is being milked for casual boys and girls and good for them. I just don’t care.

@9, I found Fable II to be a fun experience, could have been a little more open with more depth, but it was a decent game, the original was great & the third is okay at best.

Bought the original on XBL & Fable III near the same date, played the original twice as much despite being outdated.

I finished Fable III and felt empty inside. Just got more pain in the ass with the “Good” and lame ending.

Fable III is nothing more than just a milked and fixed Fable II that was broken to begin with.

Fable II was alright, it was very broken in places and I remember the framerate being down right offensive at times. But I found that by the time Fable III came round I had absolutely no desire to play it at all. The whole premise just looked a tad dull now.

WHY CAN’T EVERYONE DO THIS

Fable 2 didn’t grab me, but I had fun with it and it was easy to see why some people would love it – there was lots to like. Fable 3 was a mess. Some really bad design decisions from a team who usually work hard on these sort of things. Stuff like finding a new pair of gloves and having to teleport back to your house, wander down to the right room then feck about with awkward menus to simply put the damn things on. It was one of Lionhead’s shortest dev cycles for a big release and it really showed. The sort of stuff they like to do can’t and shouldn’t be rushed.

Fable was the best but I think that is mostly nostalgia talking. The series has evolved since then in terms of graphics but I think gameplay and like DrDamn said, a few dodgy design choices.

I still find the series enjoyable and fun to play. The humour is harmless and gets a few giggles. I will no doubt get the next one. The Journey however, I think I will happily let that pass me by… on rails… Only kidding Pete.

I started playing Civilization I when i was a kid. 8-9 years probably. Civilization II was my first game from the system parents bought me and it was also a gift from my friend (i mean the game).

Fable 1 was good. Fable 2 was ok. Fable 3 was SHIT!! fABLE 4, stay the fuck away from it!!

Yeah, you are horribly wrong here… The games creator do not set that age rating, it is set by the appropriate ratings board for your region based on their interpretation of the content, just like films…

Ummm… hate to tell you man but the Age rating has no relation to the demographic the game was designed for, as it is generated by a neutral third party not actually involved in the games development, as #30 said. IE: Fable III and Crysis II both have an ERSB rating of M… by your logic, that means they are both targeted at the same demograpic. Now, I do, in fact, own both and play both on steam. But my wife does not play FPS’s… nor do alot of people I know. I also know alot of people that Play FPS’s who do not play RPG’s.

ON that note though, I tend to agree with you. Fable: The Lost Chapters was a great game, Fable II was nice, but had some stuff broken with it and Fable III left me with a feeling of… that’s it?
